Junji was born in 1902 in Osaka, Japan.
Junji graduated from Agriculture Department of Tokyo University in 1926.
Served with Livestock Hygiene Research Institute of Government-General of Korea. Made official tour of Europe and America in 1934. Became member of Research Institute of Nihon Juishikai (Japan Veterinarians' Society). The following year was appointed director and chief of Business Department of Japan Biological Science Research Institute and in 1951 became the head of and chief director of the same institute. In 1951 re- visited Europe to attend International Conference on Cattle Plague in Paris. Awarded prize of Nihon Nogakukai (Japan Agricultural Science Society). Served also as technical adviser of U.S- Military Government in Korea and Livestock Hygiene Research Institute.
