K. S. Gururaja Doss was an Indian chemist, specialist in Electro-Chemistry and Sugar Technology. He has done research in Electro-Chemistry, invented Redoxokinetic Effect (Faradiac Rectification), new type of Indicator Papers for Industrial Control. Author of about 120 articles and research papers. Member of Rotary Club.

K. S. Gururaja Doss completed Mysore University – Bachelor of Science (1st Class Honors), Master of Science (Physical Chemistry) 1st Class Honors; Madras University - Doctor of Science.
Career
In 1927-1928 he was a Research Scholar at Mysore University; in 1928-1943 Doss was a Lecturer and later Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Mysore University; in 1943-1950 he worked as Physical Chemist at National Sugar Institute in Kanpur; in 1950-1957 - Professor of Sugar Chemistry and Officiating Director of the Institute. In 1957-1958 Doss was a Deputy Director-in-Charge of the Central Electro-Chemical Research Institute in Karaikudi. Since 1958 he was the Director of the Central Electro-Chemical Research Institute. Toured Japan.
