Background

KaHe was born in 1903 in Morioka, Iwate, Japan.

Education

Graduated from Hosei University (1929). Appointed professor of Iwate Pre- fectural Normal School (1948) and professor of Iwate University (since 1948). Scholar on the agricultural history of Ou district.

Career

His ‘‘The Agricultural Structure of pu” is a voluminous work dealing the subject realistically in an attempt to ciamy the structural organization and the process of formation of the agricultural industry in the feudal age and its relations with the modern agricultural industry. Also is the author of “Farmers in the Former Nambu Clan’’ and The History of Agricultural Develop¬ment in Iwate Prefecture in the Early Era of Meiji”.
