He graduated from Tokyo University.
Career
After graduating from Tokyo University was appointed briefly professor at 4th Higher School (1899) in Kanazawa and then assistant professor at Kyoto University (1901). Went to Europe for further studies (1903). Upon return (1906) was appointed professor at Kyoto University where he taught commercial and industrial economy, theory of finance, statistics, social policy, etc. His works were all collected and published under one volume titled "Complete Works of Toda."
