Education
He graduated from Kyoto University (1924) and studied in Germany, France and Italy (1926-1929).
Career
He served at Kyoto University Law Department, as instructor (1930), professor (1933) in charge of Roman Law and Western annals of legislation. He was dean of the Law Department, Kyoto University (1950-1952). He received his Doctor of Laws (1944) for his "Studies on History of Classic Protection Laws."
Author of "Outline of World Annals of Legislation.'' Awarded the Kyoto Cultural Board Prize for his scholarly contributions.
