Kanichiro Kamei was born in Kanagawa Prefecture.
In 1917 Kamei Kanichiro graduated from Political Science Course of Tokyo University.
Kanichiro Kamei served as Meve consul and as administrative official of foreign affairs at Tientsin and New York. He elected four times to House of Representatives (from 1928). Kanichiro Kamei appointed director of East Asia Department of Policy Bureau of Imperial Rule Assistance Association and lecturer of Keio University and then became chief director of Nippon Gijutsu Bunka Kenkyushitsu (Japan Technical Culture Research Laboratory).
