Career
Katsunori Sakurada is a devoted student of folklore, he began his career by making on-the-spot survey of remote islands in Western Japan and thereafter continued in investigation of remote communities especially fishing villages.
He was an instructor of Тoyo University and Kunitachi Music College. Edited or wrote "Manuscripts on Folklore of Fishing Villages" and "Gyojin" (Fishermen).
