Katsuo Takeda served as assistant professor and later professor in 1938 of his alma mater in charge of pathology. He was member of the 3rd Japan Academic Congress.
Katsuo Takeda was a director of Japan Pathology Society, director of Japan Medical Treatment Society and Japan Allergy Society. He has made notable studies on metabolism and tuberculosis. Author of "Introduction to Modern Pathology", "Modern Pathologic Anatomy" and "Allergy and Tuberculosis".
