Without attending any educational institute Kenkab Inoue became a teacher, then a journalist.
Kenkab Inoue was senryu (comic haiku poetry) editor of Nihon Shimbun and did much to popularize this style of poetry. He was an authority of Yanagidaru school of Senryu. Wrote many anthologies. A collection of his poems was published posthu¬mously under the title "Collection of Senryu Poems of Kenkabd".
