Kenzo Takekoshi was born in 1888 in Hyogo, Japan.
He graduated from Architecture Department of Tokyo University in 1912.
He visited Europe and U.S.A. in 1913. He established Takegoshi Construction Office at Hasebe in 1933. He became senior managing director in 1944 and then president in 1945 of Sumitomo Tochi Kogyo Kaisha (Sumitomo Land Industry Company). He purged in 1947. With establishment of Soseisha Company he became director of Takegoshi Construction Office of Soseisha Company since 1951.
He held additional posts of president of Nihon Kenchiku Kyokai (Japan Construction Industry Association) and Osaka-fu Kenchiku Shinsakai (Osaka Prefectural Construction Inspection Council).
