After graduating from Tokyo University (1923) was appointed instructor at 1st Higher School and then rejoined his alma mater as assistant professor (1925). After securing a doctorate, Doctor of Science (1935) was sent to Germany and America for further studies (1936). Returning home rejoined his university as professor (1937).
