Kirill Grigorievich Grekov

Background

Kirill Grigorievich Grekov was born in 1852, in Akhtyrka, Kharkov province, Ukraine.

Education

Studied at the Kharkov Theological Seminary, veterinary school.

Career

Since 1873, the teacher of history and geography of the district school in the town of Ostrogozhsk, Voronezh province. Over 7 years he spent in the town of Biryuch, Voronezh province. Since the summer of 1888 the staff inspector of the Ostrogozhsky Uyezd School, the compiler of the historical and statistical essay on it (Voronezh, 1889). In the 1890s he collaborated with the Moscow publishing house "Mediator", imbued with ideas of Tolstoyism. At the turn of the XX century he left Ostrogozhsk, worked in different places, since 1910 he lived in Poltava.
