In 1930 Koji Kunimatsu graduated from Tokyo University.
Koji Kunimatsu served as professor of Musashi Higher School (1931), promoted assistant professor (1944) and professor (1945) of Kyushu University. In 1950 he became professor of Tokyo University. There he was engaged in studying German literature centering on Nietschze. He has translated several German classics.
