Konstantin Nikolayevich Korotkov was a chemist, teacher, Doctor of chemical sciences (1943), professor (1939), academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Belarusian SSR (1950) and honored scientist of the Belarusian SSR. Sphere of scientific interests: dry distillation of wood, studying of terpenic hydrocarbons, development of the technology of tapping.
Education
Konstantin Nikolayevich graduated from Gory-Goretsky Agricultural Institute (now Belarusian State Academy of Agriculture) (1924).
Career
Since 1919, Konstantin Nikolayevich was associate professor of the Belarusian Agricultural Academy. Since 1930, head of the Department of the Belarusian Forestry Institute. Since 1949 - director, since 1952 - head of the Laboratory of the Wood-Chemical Institute of Chemistry of the Belarusian SSR Academy of Sciences.
