Koshiro Haga was a Japanese historian, Doctor of Literature, Professor of Tokyo University of Science and Literature.

Background

Koshiro Haga was born in Yamagata Prefecture on January 25, 1908.

Education

In 1941, graduated from Tokyo University of Science and Literature.

Career

In 1950, appointed lecturer at alma mater, became assistant professor and professor in 1952. In 1954, received degree. Engrossed in study of Higashiyama Culture (literature and arts created by Buddhist priests of Zen Sect in Kyoto during 11th Century) and is also versed in Sado (Art of ceremonial tea making).
