Kozo Kitada graduated from Tokyo University (1924) and then became teacher of Nagano Normal School.
Kozo Kitada appointed professor (1931) of Komazawa University, Tokyo, and instructor of Nihon University, Tokyo. He received his degree of doctor of Science (1944). Kozo appointed professor (1952) of Hosei University. Chairman of the Japan Academy of Geography. He wrote a number of articles on construction of maps by the Kitada Projection Method and mathematical geography as well as the books "The Outline of Geography" and "Work on Topography."
