Career
He authored the acclaimed book, The Energy Crisis (Crown, 1972) and has been featured in Time Magazine, National Review, and has addressed the United Nations, and appeared on the Today Show, To Tell The Truth, and had a column in King Features Syndicate. Forty years later his groundbreaking book was quoted in the Chicago Tribune. He also authored Fuels Foreign Tomorrow (PennWell Publishers 1980) He is Professor Emeritus of Chemistry at Long Island University and in August 2014 spoke to the Houston Chronicle about the Chemistry of the Body as it pertains to professional athletes and their injuries On April 10, 2015 The Huffington Post published an expose on the Tommy John surgery and University College London injury epidemic in baseball, featuring chemist Lawrence Rocks and his take on the chemistry of bones and the chemistry of the body as it pertains to Major League Baseball players and the future of the game.
