In 1947 Oleg Valentinovich graduated from the Ivanovo Chemical and Technological Institute with a degree in chemical engineering and technology.
Oleg Valentinovich started his career at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the USSR Academy of Sciences and worked there until 1961. From February 1, 1961 to the present time, he is a professor at the N.N. Semenov Institute of Chemical Physics RAS.
Among his works should be mentioned the following: "Regularities of the selection of catalysts - nonmetals", "Nonequilibrium processes in catalysis - general provisions", "The idea of the role of multiphase in selective catalysis", "Creation of a number of new catalysts by oxidation." Several monographs on electronic processes in catalysis (1978 - 1981), "Catalysis with nonmetals" (1967), and others are published.
Oleg Valentinovich is a member of the Academy of Creativity, a member of the International Council and other organizations on catalysis, a member of the editorial boards of several journals.
