Lee Tribe, American sculptor, educator. Recipient award, Arts Council Great Britain, 1976; fellow Guggenheim Foundation, 1987-1988, Pollock Krasner Foundation, 1991; Barnett Newman scholar, New York Studio School, 1977-1978, Ingram Merrill fellow in sculpture, 1982-1983.


Tribe, Lee was born on October 3, 1945 in Danbury, England. Arrived in United States, 1977. Son of Arthur Childs Tribe and Ellenor Marrion (May) Fowler.


Bachelor in Sculpture with 1st class honors, St. Martins, London, 1974. Advanced course certified, St. Martins, 1975. Master of Arts in Sculpture, Birmingham School Art, England, 1977.
