Education

Lev Davidovich graduated from gymnasium in Kursk (1914) and the medical faculty of Kiev University (1921).

Career

The organizer and the first head of the children's consultation of Kursk (1923-1926), the head of the children's department of the Kursk District Hospital (1930). Assistant at the Children's Clinic of the Voronezh State Medical Institute (since 1930). Associate Professor (since 1935), Head of the Department (1936-1942, 1946-1955) of the Faculty of Pediatrics of the Voronezh State Medical Institute, at the same time Head of the Department of Propaedeutic Pediatrics (1939-1941) of the Astrakhan Medical Institute (now Astrakhan State Medical University), consultant of the Altai Regional Health Department (1942). Chief pediatrician of the Voronezh region (1943-1944), head of the Department of Children's Diseases (since 1944), at the same time was director of the Department of Hospital Pediatrics (1944-1955) of the Voronezh State Medical Institute (now Voronezh State Medical University named after N. N. Burdenko).

Author of about 100 scientific works, including books.

Achievements

• Made a significant contribution to the restoration of the children's medical institutions of the Voronezh region, which were destroyed during the war, the organizer of medical and advisory assistance to children and training of pediatricians.
