Mananchikova Nelli Petrovna graduated from Voronezh State University, history department of the Faculty of History and Philosophy in 1954.
Since 1954 till 1955, she was a department head of Voronezh Regional Museum of Local Lore. Since 1955 till 1961, Mananchikova was a professor of Latin at Voronezh State Medical Institute, and in 1961-1962 she was a professor of the Faculty of Philology at Voronezh State University. Since 1962 she is an assistant professor of the History Faculty at Voronezh State University.
Her scientific interests include the history of the south-east Slavic people during the Middle Ages (the history of Dalmatian cities, the history of Serbia, Bosnia, and Croatia).
