Since 1977, she was the Senior Auditor, since 1986, she was the Deputy Chief of the audit office, since 1988, she was the Deputy chief of the control-audit department, since 1989, she was the Chief Accountant of the Moldovan Republican Bank of State Bank of the USSR.
Between 1991-1993 she was the Chief Accountant, between 1993-94 she was the Vice-President of the National Bank of Moldova.
In 1994, she was invited to Moscow and appointed Chief Accountant, the Director of accounting and reporting of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. Since 24 May 1996 she became a member of the board of directors of the Bank of Russia.
