She worked as sanitary inspector of the sanitary-epidemiological station, the inspector-doctor, deputy head of the main sanitary-epidemiological department of the Ministry of health of the USSR, the head of department of state sanitary supervision, expertise and target programmes, Deputy head of Department State Committee of Sanitary and Epidemiological Inspectorate of the Russian Federation, Deputy head of the Department of State Sanitary and epidemiological supervision of the Ministry of Health of Russia.
On 22 April, 2004 she was appointed Deputy head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being of the Russian Federation.
She is married and has a son.
