Porfilio, Manfredi was born on December 26, 1970 in Naples, Italy. Son of Francesco Paolo Teodoro Porfilio and Giovanna Cozzolino.

  • Achievements include research in space debris detection using radar, optical and impact systems, space debris removal with orbiting lasers, weak stability boundary lunar transfers, collision probabilities among earth satellites. Research in short range ballistic missiles trajectory determination. Involvement in first Italian campaign dedicated to space debris measurement.

    Development of payload Specular Point-Like Quick Reference (SPQR) experiment, flown on International Space Station.
