Mao-Sung Kuo, Chinese chemist, educator. Achievements include research in determination of total mercury and methylmercury in drinking water, air and human hair by graphite-furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometry using 2,3-dimacaptopropane-1-sulfonate as a complexing ag; research in determination of beryllium in drinking water, in air, in human hair, and in marine organisms by GFAAS using acetylacetone as a chelating agent.
