Marina Aleksandrovna Krivtsova (nee Volkova) was born on January 2, 1962 in Voronezh, Russian Federation.
In 1984 Marina Krivtsova graduated from the history faculty at Voronezh State University. In 1992 she graduated from the faculty of art theory and history at Saint Petersburg Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. She has a Doctor of Philosophy in Art history (2004). Krivtsova’s dissertation was devoted to the fine arts of Voronezh in the XIX and early XX centuries and their relations with Saint Petersburg Academy of Arts.
Since 1984 to 1996 Marina Aleksandrovna Krivtsova worked at the Voronezh Regional Art Museum named after Ivan Kramskoi. Since 1996 to 2002 she taught at the Children’s Art School and at the same time at Voronezh State Institute of Arts/Voronezh State Academy of Arts (1995-2003). Since 2002 she has been a lecturer at the department of fine arts at Voronezh State Pedagogical University.
Marina Krivtsova has several works published in scientific collected books. She wrote a number of booklets, catalogs and articles in local periodicals as well.
