Masahiro Watanabe joined the Mitsubishi Trading Company (1938) and served with the company until its dissolution after World War II. Established the Nihon Yosho Hambai Haikyiu Kaisha (Western Publications Distribution Agency) in 1953 and became its president. The company are distributors of well-known foreign periodicals, including Time, Newsweek, Life, Saturday Evening Post, Reader's Digest, etc.
