He graduated from the Zoology Section, Tokyo University in 1908. He went abroad to America and graduated from Stanford University in 1917.
Career
He was appointed a technician attached to the Central Research Institute, Formosa Government-General. He received his doctorate in 1919. He was appointed professor at Tokyo Higher School in 1929.
