Career
Fought for Ieyasu and distinguished himself in the Komaki Nagakute Battle (1581) and again during the Sekigahara Battle when he attacked the army of Uesugi at Utsunomiya (1600). As reward for this was granted the Sanuki Castle in Kazusa (Chiba Prefecture), and his father's property. Also fought gallantly in the Natsu-no-Jin and Fuyu-no-Jin battles (at Osaka) for which he was made castellan of Taira Castle, Iwaki Province, with a fief of 70,000 koku (1622).
