Masao Maeda graduated from Mechanical Course of Yamanashi Higher Technical School.
Masao Maeda served with Mitsui & Company and Mitsui Seiki (Precision Machinery) Company and thereafter was in charge of clerical affairs on the Committee for Opening of Nara Prefec- tural Industrial Rehabilitation Conference and adviser of International League of Tourists' Hotel Owners.
Elected four times to House of Representatives (since 1947). Held additional posts of permanent director and chief of Business Department of Gifu Prefectural League of Industrial Associations, vice-chairman of All-Japan Feaera- tion of Foresters' Unions and director of Nara Prefectural League of Foresters' Unions.
Masao Maeda appointed Parliamentary Vice-Minister of National Security Board (1953) and then served as Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Defense Board (1954). Was chairman of Control & Adjustment Com¬mittee of Liberal Party, chairman of Small Enterprise Countermeasure Committee and member of Standing Committee for Eco-nomic Stabilization of House of Representatives.
