Takechi Masaru was born in Tokyo in 1894.
Graduated from Economics Department of Tokyo University (1918).
Masaru Takechi served first with Mitsui Bussan Kaisha (Mitsui Product Company or Mitsui & Company) and later transferred to Taiwan Sugar Manufacturing Company (1944), ultimately becoming its president (1947).
He became also auditor of Taiwan Ginko (Bank of Formosa) (1947) and auditor of Morinaga Nyugyo Kaisha (Morinaga Dairy Company) (since 1947). Made inspection tours of Europe and America (1934-1936).
Assumed additional post of senior managing director of Nihon Seito Kogyokai (Japan Sugar Manufacturing Industry Society).
