Masayori Tominomori was a warrior. One of the Ako Shiju Shichishi (47 Loyal Retainers of the Ako Clan). Masayori Tominomori called himself Suke-emon and wrote haiku poetry under the pen name Shumpan. A man of great courage and resources he together with other members of the clan avenged the assassination of their lord by attacking Yoshinaka Kira and slaying him. He later committed harakiri by Shogunate's order at the residence of Lord Hosokawa.
