Matasaburo Yamashita graduated from Political Science Department of Tokyo University (1912).
Career
Matasaburo Yamashita served as riji-kan (commissioner) of Hiroshima and Kagoshima Prefectural governments. Retired fromgovernment service (1922).
He served then as executive of various industrial organizations, chief of Social Affairs and Electricity bureaus of Tokyo Prefectural Government and president of Aikoku Kogyo (Industrial) Company. Matasaburo Yamashita became director of Kanto Electric Power Distribution Company (1960), director of Tokyo Electric Power Company (since 1961). Toured Europe and America to inspect transportation facilities.
