Background
M.G.H.Zaidi, the Indian national is Physical Chemist, educator and academic administrator. He has conferred B.Sc. (1985), M.Sc. (1987) followed by Ph.D. degree in Chemistry (1992) from Lucknow University U.P. India. His title of doctorate thesis was "Synthesis of Some Newer High Temperature Resistant Polymers". He has been serving Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology with great distinction and dedication since 1998. Dr. Zaidi has academic and administrative experience of more over 30 years in various capacities at several Indian universities since 1991-92.He has been involved in formulation & direction of research projects as principal investigator in the area of supercritical processing of polymer materials since 1998-99. Prof. Zaidi has availed funding from Defense Research Development Organization (DRDO) Ministry of Defense, Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Department of Science & Technology (DST), Uttarakhand Council of Science & Technology (UCOST), University Grants commission (UGC) and international private organizations for execution and propagation of research. Dr. Zaidi's research activities involve synthesis of polymer based materials through traditional methods and in supercritical fluids, their durability assessment and applications in structural engineering, electronics, energy storage and biomedical sciences. His academic contributions have been acclaimed worldwide by researchers ,print, electronic media and are cited in reputed scientific journals across the world. He has been advising and training masters, doctorates, project and research fellows in the area of polymer science since 1997-98. He is the member of editorial board and reviewer of various international journals. He has been contributing his expertise as member of organizing committee, session chair, technical program committee, plenary, keynote speaker and convener at national and international conferences, symposia and training programs. His contributions to research and development are in collaboration with reputed national laboratories. He holds 6 patents, authored & coauthored >120 publications, reviews, monographs, technical notes and book chapters in refereed international journals ,scientific magazines and periodicals.
