Michael Phillip Waite was born on July 21, 1960, in Shelburne, Chittenden County, Vermont, United States. He is a son of Richard Waite, a telephone technician, and Margaret Waite.

Education

In 1982 Michael Phillip Waite received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Vermont. In 1993 he obtained a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Oregon.

Career

From 1991 to 1992 Michael Phillip Waite was an instructor in English at the University of Oregon. From 1992 to 1993 he was an instructor in English at the Oregon State University. In 1993 he became a game designer at the Sierra-CUC Software (now Sierra Entertainment), Eugene, Oregon.

Achievements

• Michael Phillip Waite is best known as the author of the Building Christian Character books and the Camp Windy Woods series. His works received good reviews from critics.
