Career

Until World War 1 worked at a printing house. From 1918 in Red Army. 1918-1920 commander of a cavalry regt, cavalry brigade and 8th Red Cossack Division.

Fought against the Germans, Petlyura and Denikin’s forces and Polish troops. 1921-1934 commander, 1st Zaporozhian Cavalry Division, Red Cossack Army. 1934-1937 commander 1st Cavalry Corps.

1937 arrested by State Security organs.

Views

The emphasis on peaceful coexistence doesn’t mean that the Soviet Union accepted a static world with clear lines. Socialism is inevitable and the "correlations of forces" were moving towards socialism.
