Mikhail Aleksandrovich Kashcheev was a member of the Great Patriotic War. Battery commander of the 200th Guards Light Artillery Regiment (60 Army, the Voronezh Front). In 1943 distinguished in crossing the Dnieper River near the village of Gubin (Chernobyl district, Kyiv region) and in the battle for the bridgehead.
After World War II, continued service in the armed forces. Since 1973 - retired colonel.
He lived and worked in Minsk.
