Mikhail Pavlovich graduated from the medical faculty of Moscow University (1891).
Mikhail Pavlovich worked in the surgical department of the Voronezh Provincial Zemstvo Hospital. He was a member of the Voronezh Scientific Archival Commission (1901). Mikhail Pavlovich was also engaged in archaeological excavations. Since the summer of 1906, he settled in Lipetsk, Tambov Governorate. Mikhail Pavlovich initiated the creation of a local museum and became its first director (1918-1925).
In January 1925, Mikhail Pavlovich was unjustly repressed and expelled from Lipetsk. When he returned, he worked as a doctor of a dispensary. In 1931, he was repressed again and exiled to Western Siberia. Since 1934 he lived in the village of Lisij Nos, Leningrad Region, and worked in a hospital at the Lakhta station.
