In 1998, Muhtaram obtained a bachelor's degree in agricultural sciences from the Faculty of Agriculture, Al-Azhar University, Assiut, Egypt. In 2005 he received a master's degree in Agricultural Sciences (Animal Production - Animal Husbandry) from the Faculty of Agriculture Minia University - Minia - Egypt. In 2009 Muhtaram received his Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences (Animal Production - Animal Husbandry) from the Faculty of Agriculture, Assiut University, Assiut, Egypt.
Currently, Muhtaram working as Assistant Professor, Animal and Poultry Production Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Azhar University, Assiut, Egypt.
