Nakae Enomoto was born in 1892.
After serving as assistant professor of Kyoto University and professor of Kyushu University, he was appointed professor of the Kyoto University and concurrently professor of Okayama University. He studied methods of breeding and farming of agricultural products in Europe and America. He was a member of the Japan Academic Council. Also, he published a number of articles on the reaction of main summer products to low temperatures, of cold water irrigation of paddy rice plants and of southern rice plants.
