She worked as an assignment editor at the series producer station WCVB-TV, Boston in 1979—1982.

She then was an assignment editor at the station WNEV-TV, Boston in 1982—1984.

In 1984 - 1985, she was a planning editor for the station special events producer WOR-TV, New York City.

She served as a director for informational services at Boston Police Department since 1985.

Nancy was also an instructor at the Northeast Regional Police Institute.
