Nasu Shumpei

Background

Nasu Shumpei was born in 1807, Tosa Province (Kochi Prefecture).

Career

An accomplished swordsman and spearman, he built a training camp in his residence and taught many young samurai of his clan. Mingled with proimperialist samurai and left his clan and went to Nagato Province (Yamaguchi Prefecture).
