In 1996 Natalia graduated from the Faculty of History of the Voronezh State University. Then in 2001 she graduated from the Department of Theory and History of Arts of the State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture of the Russian Academy of Arts in Saint Petersburg. The topic of her dissertation was "Russian artists-emigrants in France (1918-1939). Aspects of Adaptation" and on this topic she published more than 10 articles in various publications.
In 2001-2008 Natalia Evgenievna was a senior lecturer at the Department of Philosophy of the Voronezh State Technical University. She is the author of the textbook "Western European Culture of the XIV-XVII centuries" (2005) and some methodological recommendations on the course of cultural studies. In 2004-2006 she taught Art History at the Children's Arts School. Since 2009 Natalia Evgenievna has been the head of the exhibition department of the Voronezh Regional Art Museum named after I.N. Kramskoy. She also took part in the organization of the international exhibition "Petit. Something small" and the presentation of the modern Chinese artist Shen Xiaoyuya.
Natalia Bakina is the author of some articles about Voronezh artists, introductory articles to catalogs and sets of postcards, such as "Attacking defender" by V. Mishunin (2007), "Russian Tibet" by E. Kambalina (2008), "Lessons of Znatkov" (2009) and others.
