Nicolai Aall was a Consul-General of Norway and Norwegian Consular Judge of China.
Background
Nicolai Aall was born on the sixth of June, 1883 in Kongsberg(Norway). Niels C. J.S. Aall (a judge) was Nicolai's father and Kalmer was his mother. On the twenty-fourth of February, 1921 Nicolai arrived in China. Most of his life he lived and worked in Shanghai.
Education
He got education at University of Christiania. Moreover, Nicolai had Bachelor of Laws degree.
Career
Nicolai Aall served as a Lieutenant of Norwegian Army. From 1909 till 1911 he worked as an Assistant Judge. From 1911 till 1912 Aall held the position of Secretary of the Foreign Office and Private Secretary to Foreign Minister in Norway. Also, from 1912 till 1915 he was attached to Norwegian Consulate General in London 1912-1915. In 1916 Aall worked as a Second Secretary of Norwegian Legation in London. From 1917 till 1918 he was a Norwegian Vice-Consul in New York. From 1918 till 1920 Nicolai worked as a First Secretary of Norwegian Legation in London. Also, Nicolai Aall was a Consular Body's Representative on the Pilot Board in Shanghai.
