Nikolai Vasilievich Vinogradov was born in 1831, according to other sources - 1832 in Kochetok village, Ukraine in the family of a priest.

Education

In 1853 he graduated from Voronezh Theological seminary, received a regent diploma of Imperial court chapel.

Career

Nikolai Vasilievich was a choir regent at Voronezh Mikhailovsky cadet corps, later at the school of hard work. He was a teacher of singing at Voronezh Mikhailovsky cadet corps from 1868 to 1891, Voronezh Theological Seminary from 1874 to 1878, railway technical school from 1888 to 1899.

Achievements

Nikolai Vasilievich was an organizer of church and secular choirs. He ran choral concerts at Noble Assembly, was known as a spiritual composer, who divided religious chants into four main voices.
