1909-1918 instructor, St. Petersburg Polytechn. Institute; 1920-1921 instructor, Don Polytechn. Institute; 1921-1922 Professor, Kiev Polytechn.
Institute; 1923-1926 Professor, Moscow Institute of Transport Engineers. Specialist in mechanical properties of metals. Developed mechanical theory of brittleness of metal exposed to cold.
Demonstrated importance of “serial” tests in determining critical temperature of brittleness. Also evolved methods of measuring and combatting residual voltage in manufactured articles, etc.
Religion obstructs scientific research and technological progress.
Marxism–Leninism as the only truth could not, by its very nature, become outdated.
Member, Ukraine Academy of Sciences from 1939.
