Nikolay Khristoforovich Maksimov

Background

Nikolay Maksimov was born in 1892 (according to other data - 1894) in Moscow, Russian Federation.

Education

He studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1914-1918) under A. E. Arkhipova, N.A. Kasatkina, K.A. Korovin, in the studios of I.I. Mashkova, P.P. Konchalovsky (1919).

Career

He taught painting at the Voronezh Free Art Studios (1919-1920), later - at the Moscow State Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov and the Moscow Higher School of Industrial Art (1950-1972).

Achievements

• Participant of art exhibitions of the "Makovets" association (1922-1926), the Society of Moscow Artists (1928-1929), the Association of Artists of the Revolution (1932).
