After graduating from high school (the town of Slobodskoy), Nikolay Pyregov studied at the military flight school (Borisoglebsk, Voronezh Region, 1972-1974). He graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Moscow State University (1979). Nikolay Pyregov studied at Harvard University (USA) and Columbia University (New York).
By distribution, Nikolay Pyregov arrived in the city of Voronezh, where he taught the course of the political economy of socialism at the Voronezh Institute of Technology(1979-1980). He returned to Moscow, lived mainly on seasonal earnings. The author of the novel "Hello, the seventies" (Ryazan, 1999). The novel "The Lesson of English" was published in the journal Novy Bereg (Copenhagen, 2005).
