In 2006 he graduated from the South Russian State Polytechnical University with a specialization in "Management and Informatics in Technical Systems". Then he completed postgraduate studies in the same university specializing in economics and management of a national economy.
Before enrollment in Cosmonaut Corps he had his own business. In 2012 he was appointed to the post of a test cosmonaut candidate of Cosmonaut Corps of the Yuri A. Gagarin State Scientific Research-and-Testing Cosmonaut Training Center.
