He lived in the village of Verkhnyaya Katukhovka, Voronezh district, Paninsky district. He worked as a mechanic at the Voronezh aircraft factory. Since 1938 in the Red Army, the commander of the guns of the 261st Artillery Regiment (3rd Guards Army, 1st Ukrainian Front). He distinguished in battle on March 4, 1945, near the city of Guben (now Gubin). In this battle, Senior Sergeant Kasimov was mortally wounded.
